There is an economic term, Lipstick Effect.
It means when the economy suffers, women prefer red lipsticks.
Recession = increased sales of red lipsticks.
It is also known that mini skirt is also popular in recession.
Psychologically, it is interpreted that women try to cheer up the depressed minds from the recession through make up and fashion.
Of course, it is very economic method; yet with greatest impact!
One of the movie theaters in Korea requires its staff who work directly with the customers to put red lipsticks on because red lipsticks encourage customers’ willingness to purchase as well as give kinder and more positive impression.
Well, I really do not know all the economical or psychological facts or statistics, but I just wanted to put a red lipstick this morning.
Sephora Collection’s Stain series promises it will maintain its strong red color without smudging.
I somehow acquired one that was sold out and put it on!
I could not help but wonder, out of all those colors, how come only the red ones were sold out?
Well, it might be a sign that the recession will continue for a while…
However, I just feel very happy today with deep red color on my lips!
Everybody had different reaction when they saw me today.
Some said I looked beautiful and that they would like to try on as well.
Some said it looked too much, some just laughed out loud..
No one did not pass without a word!! 
Regardless the reactions, I had fun and enjoyed the day!
We, girls, all tried vivid red lipsticks from mom’s vanity table secretly and we all remember how exciting it was!
It was just a lipstick..
Lots of memories visited me, tons of thoughts I had, millions of words I exchanged with others..
Just a lipstick did it all..
Isn’t something like this make our life joyful and fun?
Daily routine going on and one and one… self-presenting endless dilemmas and problems..
Life seems challenging these days..
Today, I found the simplest way to get out of this rather depressing trap!
I don’t care if it is economy…
I don’t care if it is psychological something..
I don’t care what other people think or say..
I just enjoyed red lipstick today. Just for me….
